Dear Class,

I would like to thank you all for being such wonderful fifth grade students this year. You have made it a special year for me. I will miss you as I start my retirement. I wish you all a happy summer and a wonderful life!

Recognition Night 2010

Last night I attended Sixth Grade Recognition Night. I was honored by them. They gave me these beautiful roses, dedicated the yearbook to me and the other retiring teachers and gave a touching speech on my behalf. It was a very nice evening. Thank you.  Mrs. MacDonald

We are getting our room ready for Success Night. We added some of our art to the walls.

PHYSICS OLYMPICS

What is physics?  The study of the non-living world, such as engineering, electricity, motion or light.  In the last few days of school we are being introduced to this science by doing problem- solving challenges. We learned about some famous physicists, made teams and have to put team work into practice.

Today we had a little party to say "Thanks" to Mrs. DaCosta for her ASL classes.

Success Night

Thursday at Success Night we will be introducing the world to our blog! Here are some of our thoughts on doing this project for Success Night 2010.


I think that this success night is a wonderful and exciting way to show everyone our accomplishments of the year.

I thought at first when we started the blog that I wouldn't be able to find anything to get on the blog, but now that we are almost done with it I realized that I got a lot more done than I expected. I also got very happy when my mom finally agreed to have my picture on here because, I got to have pictures of me and my family and friends. I love the blog and I hope you will too!

The blog was an excellent idea! I love being able to share stuff about me. When we first started the blog I didn't have anything to write. But then I started making new friends, started playing the flute and stuff.  I think it is nice being able to share that stuff!! I hope you enjoy the blog as much as I did.

WORMS??????

Yes, worms. We are studying invertebrates. One class of invertebrates is worms. There are three kinds of worms: flat worms, round worms and segmented worms.We studied about them today, then did a "Worm" Observation. These weren't just any old worms-----they were candy worms. We don't usually eat our science projects, but today we could!
